Let me say that this isn’t a bad bike… but the title for it is very misleading and they will not even show you how to unlock the full potential of the bike.
1. You need to unlock the P3 in menu to go beyond 20 mph. With the bike off, hold the brake and press the “+” and “-“ and power button at the same time. Once you see the top of the screen flashing, press the “+” and “-“ again for 3 seconds and you will see P1. Go to P3 and change the 0 to a 1 and than power off then you can go beyond 20 mph.
2. 30+ mph isn’t compatible with this bike, and the 60 mile range definitely isn’t as well we get mayyybe 25 miles. Top speed of 28 mph.
3. You will need to assemble a bit yourself and good luck getting my ahold of the company for help if something is wrong.
All in all it’s a decent bike for my son. But am a bit disappointed I had to do a lot of research to even use it properly.
I love this e-bike easy to ride and install have 3 different functions to ride and very smooth I went to camping yesterday and ride around the campground every one love it I highly recommend everyone to buy it I give it 5 star.
Update: Changing it to three stars because I did manage to get the speed up to 28mph. I'm 6 foot tall, 220lbs, so that's not bad, but you have to unlock the bike and have it running at battery levels that are really unhealthy for both the battery and the controller. I still maintain that a lot of the hardware is very sub-par as well. I've never seen what looks like a big aluminum nut on a tire axle.
There's manual options to unlock the speed of the bike, but what you need is the "Orbital Sports" app (not to be mistaken with another scam app), and change the bike to class 3, then after that, you have to select 5 on PAS instead of 3, then it will go faster at the expense of your battery and controller unit.
Original: Get a different type of ebike. I've included some pics, one of the bike itself and one of the welding along the frame, and that's indicative of the overall quality. I'm lucky I had my own tools and some better hardware/loctite to deal with this.
My biggest gripe is that the bike caps off at 13mph, even after unlocking it (making it a class 3 device through the app). People say it's my weight. I'm 6 feet tall, got some muscle on me, about 220lbs. Okay. I can feel the power as it goes up a hill with no issue. I can fill a bag with fifty pounds of material, and that doesn't impact the top speed or torque. There was some drag from the front brakes, and I kind of solved that, but it doesn't fix the issue.
There's no gear ratio or wheel settings to change. It's just 13mph and that's not what I bought. I was aiming for 20mph and didn't even get that. The pro, I guess, is the battery life is good because the bike is stymied.
Pass on this one.
I use it to drive to work every day and there and back is about 12 miles. I feel like I could probably go like 36 miles and the battery would give up but that's only using acceleration and not pedal assist on Class 3. I had to look up how to unlock class 3 and it does go 28mph and wont let you go any faster. Pedal assists and everything feels fine. Make sure to have a friend to help.. the assembly it was not fun and took me a few hours. Really solid bike would recommend for a budget electric bike.
