    Works great, may not work on all bikes

    Bought this for my wife's Giant LaFree E+ 2 with mid-drive. Because it's pretty generic, it's a little difficult to figure out how to wrap it at first, but with a little trial and error, I was able to get it fairly tight. We bought this for traveling when carrying the bikes on a rear hitch rack. Our last trip was 3 1/2 hours going home in mostly rain, very heavy rain for the last hour. When I brought the bike in the garage on arrival, I removed the cover and there was not a drop of water under it or anywhere near the motor casing.

    I was considering buying one for my Trek Verve+ 2 mid-drive, but due to battery location and bulky down tube, it doesn't fit well.

    Great protection for ebike motors

    We have Bafang Mid-drive conversions on our mountain bikes that we carry on a rack on the front of our truck camper rig. Driving down the road @ 60mph in rain we had some issues with water intrusion of the motors. We tried a couple of solutions including wrapping the bottom bracket area of our bikes with shrink wrap while traveling.
    These Fahrer covers are the best solution. They mount quickly and easily after a bit of practice figuring out the straps and velcro. We've made a couple of several hundred mile trips in the rain and these kept the motors dry.

    Wir haben den Regenschutz gekauft, damit der E-Antrieb beim Transport auf dem Fahrradträger (auf der Hängerkupplung eines Kombi) vor Sprühnebel, Regen, … geschützt bleibt. Und das tut er. Wir hatten einmal mit Folie und Klebeband rumhantiert, dann habe ich nach einem Schutz gesucht, der sich einfach handhaben lässt. Er hat seinen Preis, aber der Schutz der Elektronik ist uns das Wert. Wir haben bei 3 Fahrten gute Erfahrungen gemacht, sowohl was Schutz als auch was die Montage angeht. Oben rum und seitlich ist er recht dicht schließend, und unten gibt es einen definierten Ablauf über ein paar Löcher. Insgesamt hochwertiger Eindruck. Die individuelle Anpüassung erfolgt über Klettbänder.
    Bitte beachten: Das linke Pedal muss nach meienr Erfahrung bei der Montage weitestgehend waagerecht (und nach vorne zeigend) stehen – je nach Fahrradträger (oder insbesondere wenn mehrere Räder auf dem Träger sind), könnte das Platzprobleme geben. Im zweifelsfall also nach dem Kauf am sauberen Rad mit probehalber geladenem Träger mit allen Rädern probieren ob es auch für euch passt. Von uns eine klare Kaufempfehlung, seinen Preis Wert.

    They're a fiddle to fit to full suspension bikes where the shock is mounted vertically above the motor, as in the Giant Maestro system. But they protect the motors, even on journeys of several hundred miles through rain and spray.

    I've been impressed with the quality of the material and stitching, and they still look good after several years and misuse. I also made up down-tube covers out of an old wet suit to protect the battery the elements while being transported. In cold weather, I've removed the battery and replaced with dummy ones made from pipe insulation.

    Before you order, check that your bikes will fit next to each other on your carrier with the pedals/cranks horizontal as that's the only way I've found that these covers will fit.

    Está bien pensado para bicicletas eléctricas sin suspensión trasera, que no es mi caso. De todas formas es lo suficientmente flexible para cerrar bastante bien protegiendo la zona del motor de salpicaduras, sobre todo cuando la transporto en el carro del coche.
    El velcro es bastante generoso por ello no se mueve nada durante el transporte.
