Arrived with a leaky tube; you can get tubes and tires locally for the same value

    EDIT:
Fincci reached out and made things right.

The tires seem fine, and the one tube that wasn't leaky seemed of decent quality. However, the other tube came out of the sealed packaging with 2 punctures/holes causing it to leak right away. It looks to be a manufacturing defect as it was part of the tube that is folded and covered. Amazon claimed they would provide compensation but I haven't seen anything.

The tires are more of a cruiser/street tread which has less rolling resistance than a MTB tire and they are much lighter as well, so they'll offer a bit more speed. Note that a lot of the cheap store bought bikes come with tires (either MTB or road) with wire beads, so that adds more weight to the tire. These foldable tires are much lighter and IMHO, easier to install once you get a hang for them. The tire tread pattern is directional and akin to a road tire (not as much of a hybrid or a gravel but more of a road tire). Comfort level feels good. There's minimal noise and the traction level is good. What awaits to be seen is tread life. The tubes felt fine except for the one that had two puncture marks.

I installed these on a relatively inexpensive Mongoose-branded MTB that replaced some cheap worn out 10-year old MTB tires. The goal was to make it faster to road on the street and these tires achieved it.
